Chinyama shines, as Dynamos,Muculmana draw

Chinyama and team mates celebrate one of his 2 goals which earned Dynamos a 2-2 draw in Moza

Dynamos scored two priceless goals through the boot of experienced striker Takesure Chinyama to come back with a result in an away fixture at Liga Muculmana home ground in Maputo on Saturday afternoon, after the two teams drew in a CAF Champions League 1st round match.

The Zimbabwe crack side, perennial contestants in the Champions League and former finalists and three-times semi-finalists, had endured reported ill-treatment from their hosts whoreportedly starved themmon Thursday, something very strange to be reported against Southern African clubs who are known through-out Africa for their hospitable nature.

Off-the field drama aside, at Liga Muculmana ground on Saturday afternoon, veteran striker Chinyama, who was twice top goal-scorer in Polish topflight soccer morethan four years ago, thrust the visitors into the lead in the 21st minute after Denver Mukamba's superb display on the left flank left aMuculamana defendr for dead to set up 'Chiny'.

Chiny was full of purposive play for the entire afternoon. After Stelio Enesio equalised for the home side after poor defending from DeMbare, it was left to the former Legia Warsaw striker to restore Demnare's lead soon after the break.

Dynamos defence pairing of captain George Magariro and young Partson Jaure were to go to sleep again and allow Luiz Vaz to easily connect a free but beautiful cross from Nelson Libisse and win an equaliser for Muculmana in the 73rd minute.

At the end, Dynamos were left to rue the absence of Guthrie Zhokinyu who was suspended by CAF on the eve of this match. The Harare giants will have to quickly learn to compete without Zhokinyu as the defender will be on the sidelines for the next three CAF assignments.

A draw is a fairly good result for Dynamos, and they will have to avoid complacency and play to win against Muculmana in the return leg within a few weeks.

Dynamos are full aware of what happened to Motor Action recently, who were knocked out of the Confederations Cup by modest South African side Black Leopards, who beat them 2-0 aftera gallant 1-1 away draw in Polokwane.
