Young Warriors to play Angola

The Zimbabwe Under 20 team has been paired against Southern Africa counterparts Angola in the second round of the Orange African Youth Championships.

The Young Warriors defeated Western neighbours Botswana 5-1 on aggregate to sail through to the second round.

In the first leg, the Jairosi Tapera led team beat the young Zebras 4-0 at Barbourfields before earning a 1-1 draw against Botswana in Molepole.

In the match in Molepole, the home team took the lead through Keorapetse Seloso. Visiting Zimbabwe had to fight back and were duly rewarded when they Knox Mtizwa equalised in the second half. There after, the Young Warriors squandered numerous chances to grab the winner.
