Nkatha in Chiefs R3m move
One of last season's best strikers in the ABSA premiership, Black Leopards' Kingston Nkatha has agreed personal terms with Kaizer Chiefs and his club has agreed to release the Zimbabwean-born striker to Naturena for a fee of R3 million.

News of the  impending deal had become common knowledge in South Africa this morning. Many media houses including Beezsports.com had broken news of the Amakhosi interest in a player who has rediscovered his scoring touch since joining Leopards from Free State Stars where he had a nightmare of a career.

At Free State Stars, Nkatha was unfortunate that a combination of injuries here and there, many changes in the technical department during his stay and a loss of form led him to be shuffled between the FS Stars and their feeder team Carara Kicks.

Nkatha was at some point the best striker in the Mvela Golden League, the old name of the National First Division, before failing to gain promotion into the Premier League after losing out to Jomo Sono's Jomo Cosmos in the championship final.

Chiefs have shown real interest in Nkatha and had an initial offer of R2 million turned down by Lidoda Duvha as the Limpopo side refused to let their prized asset leave for a song. An improve offer of R3m was eventually accepted by David Thidiela's side.

Apart from scoring eight goals in 15 starts and many substitute appearances, Nkatha was instrumental in helping Lidoda Duvha qualify for the final round of qualifiers in the CAF Confederations Cup in which his appearances have been restricted by injuries.

His latest move to Naturena will mark his second move in less than a year, having moved from FS Stars to Leopards in 2011, and now he is headed for the Glamour club of South African football.
