Nkatha seals Chiefs move, Amidu for Leopards

Nkhatha has now been confirmed as a Kaizer Chiefs player
After a somewhat protracted move to Kaizer Chiefs following much speculation in the media, Black Leopards' Kingston Nkhatha has finally sealed the much anticipated move after signing a three-year contract in a deal that sees young Brian Amidu moving to the Limpopo outfit.

Chiefs have confirmed the capture of Nkhatha after publishing the details of the much wanted striker on their website, as Amakhosi oft-do after signing a player.

"We have concluded the deal with both the Chairman and CEO of Black Leopards and I am ahappy to announce that we have signed Kingston Nkhatha," Chiefs Football Manager Bobby Motaung confirmed with the club's website on Friday.

The same deal sees young Amidu, touted as as the next big thing at Amakhosi after signing from Zimbabwean side Black Mambas early this year, moving to Lidoda Duvha after also signing a three year deal with the Limpopo side.

It appears that there were some few details of the deal which needed to be thrashed out between the two ABSA premiership sides.

It is more likely that the outstanding matter must have had something to do with the real value of the player, with Leopards probably insisting on getting R3 million together with loan deals for veteran defender Thomas Sweswe who has since move to Bidvest Wits and Amidu.

Now Leopards could be happier to have secured a permanent deal for Amidu plus the R3m money. Considering that Amidu holds so much for the future, deals do not get better than that, if indeed Amidu has moved for free  in a somewhat swap deal.

Nkhatha was in in an awe-inspiring form last season and emerged as the Lidoda Duvha's top goal scorer and was among the top scorers in the league after netting more than eight goals for his former club Leopards.
