Kapini the best keeper at using his feet- Rio Ferdinand
Zimbabwe senior national soccer team goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini is one of the best goalkeepers in the world when it comes to using his feet, says England international defender Rio Ferdinand.

Ferdinand's club Manchester United played against Kapini's Amazulu Football club at the World Cup stadium in South Africa's port city of Durban on Wednesday night.

Kapini played a good game against United, thwarting numerous goal attempts from strikers such as Dimitar Berbatov and Federico Macheda during the match, but he could do little to stop Macheda fromscoring the only goal of the match, even though he attempted to save the effort.

Rio Ferdinand, speaking to Soccer Laduma, had praise for Kapini and someof his team mates at Amazulu.

"The goalkeeper  (Kapini) was [also] really good, his feet was one of the best I’ve seen on a goalkeeper,” Ferdinand told Soccer Laduma.

Earlier Ferdinand and Man U team mate Macheda had stated their impression of young Amazulu left back Marc van Heerden  and striker Ayanda Dlamini.

“The left back was a decent player, so was their number 11 (Dlamini), he did well, yeah, those two impressed me," Ferdinand said.

Kapini should have impressed many neutrals on Wednesday with his leadership abilities on the pitch in particular. He has been excellent at showing leadership since his move from Platinum Stars about a season ago.

His fine acrobatic save to deny Berbatov in the second half of the friendly which was won 1-0 by the former England Champions was surely one of the highlights of the night of football bliss for the Durbanites on Wednesday night.

Other Zimbabweans who featured in the high profile friendly match are defender Carlington Nyadombo and midfielder Ramson Zhuwawo.
