Dondo moves to FSS, Arubi close to Tuks move
Zimbabwean striker Taonga Dondo who was on the books of relegated Jomo Cosmos last season has made a move to Free State Stars, while his countryman Washington Arubi's move to AmaTuks is still on the cards.

Arubi's move to AmaTuks has been something of an enigma. It is perpetually reported to be on the brink, yet nothing concrete appears to come of it.

Recently AmaTuks appeared to be demanding certain conditions to be met by Dynamos before they could buy the player, as if they are doing Dynamos and the player any favour buy buying him.

The University of Pretoria based outfit demanded that Dynamos must give them an assurance that Arubi was not going to be suspended following the conclusion of the Asiagate where the goalkeeper remains implicated.

Interestingly Kingston Nkhatha's move to Kaizer Chiefs was unaffected by the Asiagate allegations. Thats right, allegations! That is exactly what they are because nothing has been proved against the implicated players, and it remains unfair to prejudice players based on allegations which are yet to be proved.

For heaven's sake AmaTuks! Its not Dynamos' place to give you such assurances that you have set as conditions for singing Arubi. That is ZIFA territory. Only a governing body who instituted the investigations has the power to give such assurances. Yet again, that will be like prejudging a matter, which is supposed to remain sub judice.

Poor Zimbabwean clubs will be taken for a ride because of reported poverty in the country and desperation of the players to move to the richer ABSA League which pays better salaries nad has better training facilities!

Even a player of Takesure Chinyama's caliber will go for just above a million rands, when an average Botswana international Joel Mogorosi goes from FC Platinum to Bloemfontein Celtics for times three that amount!

Nothing has changed in terms of news coming from AmaTuks regarding Arubi. The player remains on the brink of a move.

Why Arubi opted against moving to Black Leopards where he was wanted without conditions attached while he endures abuse from a club which appears desperate for a keeper of his caliber anyway, remains a mystery!
