Chinyama scores in Pirates win
Orlando Pirates' Takesure Chinyama made sure of a victory as he netted the Ghosts' second goal in a 2-0 victory over battling Ajax Cape Town at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night, and in the process silence the shocking behaviour of his own fans. Sifiso Myeni scored the first goal.

Having been introduced as a second half substitute, Chinyama was booed by his own club fans who seem not to have faith in his goal scoring abilities as yet. Granted, Chinyama has been rusty after failing to play for the club due to challenges with his his clearance from Dynamos of Harare.

The Zimbabwean had to silence his doubters in an emphatic way, and he did that twice. Firstly, the former Legia Warsaw player forced a stinger from Sander Westerfeld moments before his strike.

Moments before the end of the match, Chinyama received a pass in the box, mae a brilliant turn, before firing a rocket which gave Westerveld no chance.

Lively Sifiso Myeni had given the Buccaneers the lead in the 55th minute after some great team work.

The first half had ended goalless, with off-colour Tlou Segolela missing a sitter in the box in the 22nd minute. He had acres of space, and had only Nazeer Allie to beat when he shot tamely allowing the impressive defender to easily clear.

The victory by Pirates is new coach Roger De Sa's second successive victory ever since he took over from Augusto Palacious early this month, and sees the Ghosts move within three points of bitter Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs who currently sit at the top with 13 points from 5 matches.

Pirates were full value for their win last night, with their victory being spoiled by the home crowd that booed their own player Chinyama.
