Castle Lager PSL Results: Bosso back on top
Highlanders profited from a major slip-up by then log leaders Dynamos by shooting to the top of the log following a late goal by in-form Masimba Mambare in a 1-0 victory over Hwange at the Colliery Stadium on Wednesday.

Mambare scored via a free-kick in injury time when the match seemed destined for a draw in Hwange. It was just the tonic Bosso needed after appearing to have slightly taken their foot off the pedal in the past few weeks, allowing DeMbare to assume leadership on the log standings.

Dynamos did not do themselves any favour by scoring an own goal through defender Guthrie Zhokinyu in the 79th minute who beat an advancing George Chigova. The Harare giants could not recover from that error, and Adam Ndlovu's men held onto the famous 1-0 win.

The Champions have now slipped back to second position and Bosso are bossing the log at the moment, moving just a point ahead of their bitter rivals in the league on 53 points. The titlte race is so tight that only  2 goals separate the two giants.

Monomotapa who were placed third on the log before the mid-week matches, suffered a shock 3-2 loss away at Quelaton in Bulawayo to slip back to fourth on 40 points, allowing Chicken Inn's sweet victory over Dynamos to bring them level on points with Monoz, but ahead on superior goal difference.

Nothing can't go wrong for the Green part of Harare city this month. CAPS United notched their fourth consecutive win (three in the league and one in Mbada Diamonds Cup). Makepekepe defeated WWS Rangers 2-0 thanks to goals from Hardlife Zvirekwi and veteran striker Shingi Kawondera.

The win sees CAPS continue their rise up the log away from relegation, and now sit on 9th position. By their standards, 29 points are a far cry from what is expected of a top 3 team in the country.

For CAPS directors these are signs of a team on recovery mode, and the 9th position worries them less than it gives them relief that things are looking up again under new coaches Taurai Mangwiro and Mkhupali Masuku who took over from Irish coach Sean Connor.

Woes continued for new Gunners coach Moses Chunga as the Harare side were out-clashed 3-1 by visiting FC Platinum at Larfarge Stadium.
