Sadomba moves to UAE after Al Ahly deal collapsed

Sadomba sealed a move to Kalba in the UAE over this weekend
Zimbabwe international and Sudanese giants Al Hilal striker Edward Sadomba has completed a move to to the United Arab Emirates after seeing another move to CAF Club Champions Al Ahly collapse at the last minute.

Sadomba was a prime target for the current Champions League holders Ahly, but the Egyptian club claimed recently that it had been frustrated by the unreasonable demands from Al Hilal which made them to drop their interest in and pursuit of the speedy forward.

Now Sadomba has completed a short-term deal to the oil-rich UAE where he has apparently joined Pro League side Kalba , currently third from the bottom in that money-rich league.

The deal should be worth all the trouble of missing out on a move to the Egyptian league,, considered the most competitive on the African continent, though this fact needs to be verified given the dominance of that league by one team, Ahly.

Sadomba appears to have made a loan move for six months and could move elsewhere should Kalba be relegated at the end of the season. At this stage it is not clear if the player is still contracted to Al Hilal. It looks likely to be the fact given the role the club played in frustrating Al Ahly's interest in the player.

The former Dynamos player  becomes probably the second Zimbabwean to play in the UAE league after the hugely talented and nomadic Musawenkosi Mguni turned out for Al Shabaab a few years ago before he moved to Ukraine, from where he was snapped up by Terek Grozny of Russia.
