Mukamba"s Wits move confirmed, Chitiyo,Mutuma for SA clubs!
Talented Zimbabwe Footballer of the Year for 2012 Denver Mukamba's move to Bidvest Wits has now been confirmed by the player's agent as completed.

Beezsports had been informed by a source at Bidvest Wits last week that the deal had been finalised, and it then later turned out that even though by that time the deal was as good as done, no signatures had been signed. There were more tests which needed to be done.

Now that Mukamba passed medicals, the former Dynamos player has signed a two year contract deal with the option of further two years.

"We have agreed a two year contract with Wits. He has an option for another two years," confirmed Gibson Mahachi, the player's agent.

Zimbabwean internationals Thomas Sweswe and Tinashe Nengomasha are already at Wits, and Mukamba will not be short of familiar company at the ambitious but struggling ABSA premiership club based in Milpark Johannesburg.

This development puts to question communication strategy at Wits. Late last week new coach Clive Barker said he preferred to only sign the player after seeing him in action, despite the player having undergone two successful trial periods at the club.

Barker's utterances attracted the ire of this website, and Beezsports were clearly justified in criticising the unfortunate utterances attributed to the new Wits mentor. Wits in any case were in danger of losing the player to well-off clubs if Barker's words were to be followed.

Good luck to Denver! He deserves to be playing in Europe in the next 12 months.

Meanwhile, Monomotapa star midfielder, dubbed by South African media as the Zim "Rooney" is expected to join Supersport United for a trial period, after impressing in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League last season.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns player Simba Sithole's expected trial at Supersport United has been delayed after the player suffered a hamstring injury on the eve of his departure for South Africa.

Dynamos striker and 2011 Golden Boot winner in Zimbabwe Roderick Mutuma has been cleared by his club to attend a trial period with Bloemfontein Celtic.

The Zim 'Rooney' Chitiyo and Mutuma, the self-styled Prince of Dynamos football are expected to begin their respective trial periods this week or early next week.
