Noel Kaseke moves to UAE

Noel Kaseke is seen here being unveiled as Al Shaab"s new signing in the UAE over the weekend
Zimbabwe International (Warriors) defender Noel Kaseke has moved from his Cypriot topflight division club
Alki Larnaca to explore new football territory in the oil rich United Arab Emirates Etisalat Pro League, where he has reportedly joined topflight club Al Shaab.

Kaseke was part of the Warriors squad that suffered the heartache in Angola at the end of 2012 when they fell at the last hurdle in their bid to qualify for the AFCON 2013 finals currently taking place in South Africa.

Over this past weekend, the former Highlanders player penned a deal in the oil rich Arab world of soccer, becoming the second Zimbabwean to join that league after Edward Sadomba moved to Al Ittihad Kalba.

The Warriors defender had moved from Omonia Nicosia in 2012 after having spent about five seasons at the former Cypriot champions, winning several league titles with the club, before he moved to Alki Larnaca, apparently on loan.

It may well be that his move to Al Shaab proved irresistible to his club Omonia Nicosia.

UAE clubs are know to splash cash around and players have been moving from top European leagues such as the English Barclays Premier Soccer League, from where Asamoah Gyan moved to current league leaders Al Ain from Sunderland.

Al Shaab, just like Kalba, sit on 7 points after 13 matches right at the half way mark and are third and second from the bottom respectively. The two teams have no choice but to ensure that they begin winning more matches and move up the log.
