Mourinho's magical touch! Ronaldo scores 4

Ronaldo scored an incredible four goals in Madrid"s 6-1 victory over Real Santander

Jose Mourinho arrived in the summer at the Santiago Bernabéu after collecting the Champions league with Inter Milan, and started his campaign in the LaLiga with a stutter, after failing to collect maximum points on the opening day of the Laliga season.

All that has now completely changed as the Special One has worked his magic and Real Madrid are playing like the true Galacticos. Their mega-star player Cristiano Ronaldo has suddenly come alive and is currently in devastating form.

Ronaldo made sure the Galacticos continue with their new tradition of winning by big margins when he led his team to the massacre of Racing Santander whom they dispatched 6-1 on Saturday. The former World Player of the year scored four of the six goals.

Real Madrid opened the account on the day with a goal from Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain who scored as early as the 10th minute. Ronaldo scored his four goals in the 15th, 27th, 47th and 55th minutes (the last one coming from a penalty).

Mesut Ozil made it 6-0 in the 63rd minute. Santander scored a face-saver in the 7erd minute through Papakouli Diop.

Madrid have now collected 20 points from 8 matches, and have dropped four points following their disappointing earlier draws. They top the La Liga, just a point more than their perennial rivals Barcelona who won 2-0 at Real Zaragoza, courtesy of a Lionel Messi double.

Ronaldo has now scored 8 goals in three matches, and now tops the Top Goal Scorer's charts with 9 goals. Madrid have now scored 16 times in only three LaLiga matches.

Saturday was the first time that Ronaldo has scored 4 goals in one game in his career.

While the Special One continues to warn his charges against getting carried away during the early days of the campaign, there is no doubting the magical touch which the Bernabeau feels following the arrival of  the former Inter Milan and Chelsea coach.

Hope has suddenly grown in Madrid after initial scepticism, that the Galacticos will dislodge Barcelona from the Laliga throne come the end of the season. Barca have threatened to make the title theirs after winning it twice in a row in the past two seasons.
