The Zimbabwe camp was affected by cholera which even thretened their fulfillment of their final group A match against Swaziland on Wednesday, a match which they won 3-1. They had beaten Botswana 3-0 in the first group A match the previous week.

TheYoung Warriors squandered numerous chances in the semi-final match against Zambia, and rued missed chances after the Zambians punished them in the second half. Chwakwa Lungu scored the crucial goal which seperated the two neighbours.

Zambia will proceed to the final where they will tussle with Namibia to decide the winners of the COSAFA youth cup this year. The Zambians are the defending champions.
