Palace renew Bhasera interest....will QPR do he same?

Will Bhasera successfully move to Crystal Palace this time? Or will QPR hijack the move?

Championship side Crystal Palace of England have reportedly renewed their interest in Zimbabwean defender-cum midfielder Onismor Bhasera of League one club Plymouth Argyle.

Palace had an offer for Bhasera turned down by Plymouth in August this year, presumably for having been below the League One side's own valuation of the player.

The Championship club has now revived their pursuit of the player, and this time they seem more determined to avoid the disappointment of last August. Club manager George Burley is reported to have put the Warriors player high on his shopping list for January 2011.

There has been strong interest for the player from both Palace and the current Championship log leaders QPR in the past. Plymouth manager Peter Reid revealed possible interest from the two suitors a few months ago.

"I haven't heard anything from QPR but there has been interest from Palace, which we turned down. Everyone's got a price but Bhasera has impressed me with his attitude, Reid said at the time.

The interest in Bhasera from Palaace and QPR started during the days when Plymouth were battling relegation from the Championship last season.

When everyone thought that such interest had waned given Bhasera's League One status, it appears that the two teams have not been oblivious of the player's progress in the past few months of his current club's difficult campaign in League One.

It will not be surprising if Bhasera is eager to return to a rung higher than League One, and for this reason the interest from the two Championship teams will be very tempting to the Zimbabwean.

After Plymouth was relegated from the Championship, Bhasera's loyalty to the club which had shown great faith in his abilities, led him to decide to stick with the club, with the hope that he will help his beloved club to make a swift return to the Championship.

With the hopes of a quick return to a higher rung in English football fast fading, Bhasera will have every reason to want to save his professional career and his place in the Warriors' team by joining the more competitive Championship.

Should QPR renew their interest in the player, it is easy to figure out which of the two clubs he will join if it goes down to choice-making. QPR are current log leaders and with every chance to break into the English Barclays Premiership, come next season.
