Nigeria name Ameobi, Moses for Guatemala test

Nigeria coach Samson Siasia has named England-based duo Shola Ameobi and Victor Moses in their squad for an international friendly against Guatemala on February 9 in Miami, United States.

 

The duo, who have both featured for England at the youth level will be making their debuts with the Super Eagles just as Emmanuel Emenike of Turkish side, Karabukspor.

 

The invitation of the trio stems from a meeting with the Super Eagles trainer during a recent tour of Europe.

 

The encounter forms part of the Nigeria’s preparation for the next round of matches of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.

 

Also in the squad is Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi, defender Joseph Yobo, goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama whilst striker Nwankwo Nanu has been left out.
