KCC strenghens 1st Position in USL

Kampala city council strengthened its first position in the Uganda super league after defeating UTODA F.C 2-0 at Nakivubo stadium in Kampala.

Ochaya and "Ndiefi’s" goals helped elevate the city dwellers to the top of the Ugandan Super League.

"Ndiefi" like Darren Bent of Aston Villa in the Barclays English Premiership, scored his first goal in his first match for the city dwellers after his transfer from Masaka Local Coucil F.C this January.

KCC’s win increased its chances of winning the super league. It has played 12 matches, won nine, drawn once, lost twice, scored 17 goals, conceded five and have 12 goal difference, and sitting aloft with 28 points.

Elsewhere, Bunamwaya F.C was able to bridge the three points gap following a 2-1 win over Maroons at Maroon stadium in Luzira.

The Maroon’s triumph was spearheaded by Kyeyune Muhammed, who scored a 10th minute goal, giving the prisoners the lead.

Saddam Juma was able to convert a 25th minute penalty, after a box foul to Tony Odur, giving the defending champions an equalizer.

Bunamwaya’s goal keeper Hamza Muwonge’s save of Alex Tulilaba’s shot denied the Maroons a 75th minute goal.

Lukundo’ Denni’s corner was successfully converted by Bunamwaya striker Owen Hasule to give  Lawrence Mulindwas’s side a 90th minute 2-1 lead, extending their win to 7 in 12 matches with 22 points and in the third position.
