France Coach Domenech is expected to change his strategy to this match and abandon an unusual 4-3-3 formation in fanour of a 4-2-3-1, with two hard man in midfield and three attacking midfielders and a gunman upfront. That gunman is likely to be Thierry, French players favoured striking option. There have been rumours of tensions in the camp with some senior players questioning the coach's selection criteria, with thenissue of the striker taking centre stage.

France are skirting on icy ground with respect to possible suspensions. Three players, Ribery, Evra and Toulalan are sitting on yellow cards. A second card means they will miss the next game.

France have never had the most perfect of preparations for this match. Their training pitch has been wet for much of this week.

Mexico are expected to replace their goalkeeper in the match against Bafana,Oscar Perez with Guillermo Ochoa. Perez is accused of having been nervous through out the match. Key player Raphael Marquez says that he has recovered fully from the thigh injury he suffered in the last match.

Mexico were one of the first nations to participate at the World Cup hosted by Uruguay in 1930. In their first match, Mexico ironically lost that match 1-4 to France. Mexico also lost 2-3 to France in the 154 finals.

In 6 previous encounters, Mexico have never beaten France, with their latest friendly match in 2006 ending in a 0-1 defeat.
