Mandaza still a Stars player :Raine

It is confirmed, Mandaza has not left Stars.

Platinum Stars have quickly moved to quash ugly rumours that Terrence Mandaza who only joined the Dinaledi before the season kicked off, has left the club.

Stars General Manager Jason Raine has since clarified his very confusing comments earlier, by stating categorically this time, that Mandaza is still with Stars.

"Terrence's contract is firmly in place and he remains very much a part of the club's plans for the future," Raine said earlier this week.

The only player whose contract was terminated by the Royal Bafokeng sponsored outfit is veteran  midfielder David Makgale, whose contract has been terminated with immediate effect.

Previously, when he was asked to confirm if Mandaza had left the club, Raine had only helped to aid speculation when he refused to confirm or deny the specific rumour.

Mandaza joined Stars from Township Rollers of Botswana, who won the league, with the Zimbabwean  scoring a record 43 goals in total in one season.

The man whom they nicknamed 'Terror' because of the terror he induced in Batswana defenders when he turned out for Rollers until end of last season, was also crowned Players Player of the Season and overral Player of the Year in Botswana last season.

The striker has had his first season plagued by injuries, and he hasn't really set the stage alight at Stars, unlike Nyasha Mushekwi, who is already 2nd on top goal scorers' chart in only his first season with Mamelodi Sundowns in the ABSA Premiership.
