URA wins, KCC drops more points

URA outplayed Gulu United to take a five point league in the Ecobank Uganda Super league  yesterday.

Hamis "Diego" Kizza got a brace while Robert Ssentongo struck the third in the Lugazi game that the tax collectors could have easily won by twice that score.

Fellow title contenders KCC battled from a goal down to hold hosts Simba in Bombo in a match that gave Mattia Luleís side its first point in two weeks.

Godfrey Wakaza put the army side one up middle way the match but the Lugogo side leveled the score five minutes to recess through Tom Masiko.

In Lugazi, Kizza first found the net 19 minutes into the match off a Manko Kaweesa headed pass.

Kizza then headed in a Ssentongo cross. Ssentongo followed with the third off an Allan Munaba cross.

Express also made use of their home ground to beat Fire Masters 1-0.

Moses Ndaula was the Red Eaglesí hero nodding in a Sulaiman Jjingo cross from the left flank a minute to the half time whistle.

URAís win also served as a celebration of the replacement of the teamís drums that were forcefully grabbed by Villa fans at a recent match.
