Uganda Kobs defeats Tanzania in All- African U23 qualifiers

Ugandans are proving to be hard to break at home, following thier 2-1 victory over Tanzania’s Taifa stars in the all -African under 23 qualifiers tie at Mandela National Stadium in Kampala yestrerday.

Vietnam based Oloya Moses netted an early 16th minute goal for Uganda kobs and URA goal poacher Diego Hamis Kiiza sealed the Kobs score sheet after he netted a 30th minute goal, making it 2-0 at half time.

Uganda Kobs dorminated the first half and the Tanzanian custodian was instrumental in saving the Taifa stars from conceeding more goals, following the pressure on its defence from the Kobs goal hungry strikers, Diego and Oloya.

However, the guests did not sit and relax as Makasi Samala shot a long range ball to an empty net in the first minute of second half after he noticed that the Kobs custodian Benjamin Ochan had moved a few inches from his place of work making it 2-1, which became the final result after 90 minutes.

The Kobs coach George Ssimwogerere said his side played well but was let down by what he called "a negligent goal keeper". However, he vowed to crash the Taifa Stars in Tanzania.
