Uganda Kobs resume training, vows to crash Tanzania

Uganda’s U-23 team regroups today for training at Kavumba Stadium ahead of their return leg for the All Africa Games qualifier tie  in Dar Es Salam, Tanzania over the weekend.

The team departs this Thursday for the encounter due on Saturday, but the Kobs technical team  is laying most of its emphasis on defeating the Taifa stars away from home.

Assistant coach George Ssemwogerere said  there will be limited change in the squad that managed to have a 2-1 home lead, but said that they needed more goals to be able to advance.

"There was a problem with the striking line. There was poor finishing and we need to sharpen it further. Our target is to seek for more goals and this can only come with prop-up the concentration of the striking line," he said.

"We will be working on most of the areas but we are looking more on the striking line. The best defense is to attack and we going to look for goals," Ssemwogerere further noted.

The Kobs need to win or draw in Tanzania if they are to advance to the next and decisive round of the All Africa Games to be held in Maputo, Mozambique in September this year.
