KENYA: Sofapaka needs a win against Lupopo

KENYA: Sofapaka needs a win against Lupopo

A 1-0 win will do the trick for Sofapaka against St Eloi Lupopo of the Democratic Republic of Congo in a Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Cup match at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.

Coach Francis Kimanziís biggest headache is that his strikers have lately been shy in front of goal.

The team is creating chances but the final touch is letting them down as evident in their last Kenyan Premier League game which they lost 0-1 to Nairobi City Stars.

Last weekend they were held to a barren draw by Kenya Commercial Bank.

"Iím worried about the goal drought. We are dominating matches but we arenít scoring," Kimanzi said after Fridayís training at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Kimanzi also said that  his boys will attack from the onset and will also welcome back three Congolese refugees, Dodo Kayombo, Patrick Kagogo and Heritier Ndobele who could not travel for the first leg game due to their refugee status.

The match kicks off at 4pm.
