Bulls beat FC Platinum, remain top

Champions Motor Action overcame the challenge of FC Platinum who they beat 2-1 at Motor Action Sports Club last night to maintain pole position in the Castle Premier Soccer League.

The visiting Platinum took a lead in the 35th minute through Alick Marime before Themba Ndhlovu equalised for the Bulls 10 minutes after resumption, from a penalty kick. The referee had adjudged that Allan Gahadzikwa had been fouled in the box.

Tawanda Nyamandwe headed in the winner in the 71st minute, and the Bulls held on until the final whistle.

The loss by Platinum is their fourth loss in a roll and the management of the platinum miners were forced to makes a change immediately following the loss, demoting coach Philani Ncube, and replacing him with his assistant Patrick Mandizha.
