Banyana, Mighty Warriors in COSAFA final

Banyana made their passage to this year's COSAFA Women's Championships currently taking place in Harare, look easy with a 5-1 mauling of surprise semi-finalists Malawi. They will meet hosts Zimbabwe in the final to be held on Saturday at Rufaro stadium.

The Mighty Warriors booked ther place in the final following a 4-2 penalty shoot-out triumph at the hands of stubborn Tanzania.

The two teams had played out to a goalless draw in regulation time. Zimbabwe completed the second half with 10 players after Eunice Chibanda was adjudged to have brought down a Tanzaian player in the box.

The resultant penalty kick was immaculately saved by keeper and captain Onai Chingawo, who emerged from more stars from the lottery, in which she saved two penalties.

The final will be played at Rufaro on Saturday afternoon.
