Karuru is one of the Warriors players shining in Europe

Germany Bundesliga

Knowledge Musona joined TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's long injury list (which includes key players Tobias Weis and Vedad Ibisevic) when he got injured during training on Wednesday head of a crucial league match against champions Borussia Dortmund at home. Musona tore tissues on his right groin and is only expected to be ready for action in three weeks time.

Hoffenheim managed to beat the champions 1-0 even without the key trio, and are currently pegged at number 10 on the Bundesliga, following the opening defeat away at title favourites Hannover 96.

There is a chance that Musona might fail to recover on time for the crucial AFCON qualifier at home against Liberia. Zimbabwe must win the Liberia tie to remain with a chance to qualify for the AFCON finals to be hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon

France Ligue 2

Zimbabwe Warriors midfielder Ovidy KARURU has already registered his name among goal scorers in France second tier league only three games into the season when he scored an equaliser for US Bolougne against Angers at home on 5 August.

On the weekend of the 12th August, Karuru could not be on the team sheet as he had travelled to Harare for a friendly match against Zambia's Chipolopolo on the 10th August. Bolougne drew that match 2-2 away at Laval.

England

Benjamin "Benjani" MWARUWARU rejected a contract exntension offer from Blackburn Rovers in preference for a re-union with Portsmouth a rung lower than the Premiership, the Coca-Cola Championship. His new club suffered a 0-1 defeat at home to Brighton, and pegged on 16th position after only two matches.

Denmark's Super Liga

Warriors midfielder Quincy ANTIPAS has been an essential member of SønderjyskE  in the past five games and has been replaced in three matches very late in the game. His club has won two matches, drawn two and lost one match. SønderjyskE drew their last match 2-2 away against giants Brondby. Antipas played for the entire match.

Belgian Pro League

Warriors defender, Vusa NYONI who plays as a midfielder at his club Germinal Beerschot has played one of his club's three league matches in Belgium's topflight football, the Pro League or Jupiler League. Nyoni featured in his side's 3-1 victory over Westerlo on 13 August.

After losing the first match 1-3 against Genk away on 30 July, before drawing 2-2 with Gent at home, to ease into 9th place on the log, with 4 points.

Midfielder Honour Gombami has just returned frm injury and is yet to appear for Cercle Brugge in the league, and could only watch from the stands as his side crushed 0-2 to Kortrijk away from home.

Russia

Musa Mguni's Terek Grozny has been receiving baptsims of fire in the Russian Premier League lately. On Saturday 13 August Terek were hammered 6-2 by Dynamo Moskva away from home. Previously, on 7 August, Terek were at the end of a 2-4 thrashing at home to Spartak Moskva and Mguni was an unused substitute in that match. He was not on the team sheet for last weekend's loss at Spartak.
