Masilela to sign for Getafe soon

News from Spain is that Bafana Bafana left back Tshepo Masilela, who is on the books of Maccabi Haifa of Israeli is likely to complete his move to La Liga club Getafe in the next 24 hours.

Masilela recently left South Africa for Europe in search of a club, after witnessing the painful collapse of a propsed deal to English Championshp side Leicester City, who announced that they were not going to go ahead to sign the defender after initial indications of their interest in the gifted player.

The Bafana defender had to return home, where he has spent the past month training with Moroka Swallows, raising specualtion that he might end up returning home on a loan since Maccabi Haifa had gone ahead to plan for the new season without the defender in mind.

On 10 August, Masilela had a stroming performance in Bafana colours against Burkina Faso, and was on a side that triumphed 3-0 against a team ranked 10 places above South Africa on the Fifa rankings.

When Masilela left for Europe last week, speculation was that he was due to join Cessena of Italy's Sere A given the Italian club's reported interest..

Getafe now appears to be a front runner in securing the capture of the Bafana left back.
