Chunga"s Gunners rise and rise

There is no stopping the revival and rise of Moses Chunga's youthful Gunners Football Club these days, as the former Zimbabwe Warriors plamaker and captain gudied his club to yet another victory on Saturday, beating Zimbabwea Saints 2-1.

Gunners choked a fantastic win against former Warriors team mate Ephraim Chawanda in Harare to move to the sixth place on the Castle Premier Soccer League table with 29 points after 21 games.

The former champions collected maximum points at home with goals from Leonard Fiyado and Michelle Katsvairo.

What a remarkable rise! Gunners were relegation candidates ten matches into the season, until the return of Chunga with whom they had won their first ever league title. A few maches down the line, Gunners could turn themselves into title contenders.

In other league matches played on Saturday, Monomotapa drew 2-2 with Shooting Shooting Stars at Rufaro Stadium, while Kiglon battled with Blue Ribbon for a 2-all draw.
