Gwekwerere is banging in goals for fun at CAPS lately

Following an important away victory for FC Platinum on Saturday afternoon,Motor Action were under pressure to defeat CAPS United 24 hours later, but it was not to be, as the Green Machine turned on the magic, dismissing the Mighty Bulls 2-0 in a crucial Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match played at Gwanzura Stadium on Sunday.

With just seven matches remaining before the conclusion of the Castle Lager League, the Bulls needed every point they can pickon the road, but on Sunday they were undone by goals from Evans Gwekwerere and in-form midfielder Pride Tafirenyika.

Gwekwerere scored in the first half, while Tafirenyika weighed in with a second goal to killof the match as a contest after the break.

The  Mighty Bulls needed the victory more than Makepekepe did, as the result changed nothing in terms of the home team'slog standings, as they remain perched on position eight, even after moving to 32 points.

Motor Action on the other hand, lost much ground as the defeat saw them fall three points behind FC Platinum who moved top on 46 points following their victory over Blue Ribbon yesterday.

Dynamos seized the Bulls' slip up, and moved to second position on the log after dismissing former champions Monomotapa 2-0 on Sunday  afternoon. DeMbare are now sitting on 45 points, just a point behind FC Platinum.

CAPS United have now collected 10 points out of a possible 15 points ever since the return of Lloyd Chitembwe to the club, with big wins over Highlanders, Motor Action, also picking maximum points from little Kiglon. They drew away at FC Platinum.
