KG plays in Palace"s Man U Carling Cup coup

South Africa was represented in the biggest shock of the Carling Cup in England last night, when Kagisho Dikgacoi played for the full 90 minutes as Crystal Palace's historic win over Manchester United in the quarter-final to reach the semis.

The Championship side Palace took the lead in the second half through Darren Ambrose before Federico Macheda equalised for the Red Devils.

Palace then scored the winner in extra time when Glenn Murray headed in a well taken free-kick. There were mild protests from Man U players who genuinely believed that Murray was in an off-side position when he headed in the winner.

The Barclays Premier Soccer League champions put on a real fight, forcing the championship side to defend for dear life until the final whistle.

Palace will not face Cardiff in the Carling Cup semi-final.
