Ace Kaizer  Chiefs and Bafana Bafana star midfielder Simphiwe Tshabalala will depart Johannesburg for a 10-day trial period at English Championship club Crystal Palace this January.

Palace  is home to former Fulham player and Shabba's Bafana team mate Kagisho Dikgacoi.

If Tshabalala makes the grade, it will be a relief for the hugelytalented player for whom a deal  in Europe has been largely elusive for the past years. There is no doubt  that the Chieffs star is the best locally based Bafana players.

Shabba hit headlines during the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa when he became the first player to score a goal at that tournament. His goal becae one of the best goals for 2010.

The Chiefs player was due to depart South  Africa with his Chiefs and Bafana teammate goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, but due to injury,Khune's trial has been postponed to February this year.
